| | UCSF Diabetes care rises 5 places in annual poll
Mark Laret, Chief Executive Officer of UCSF Medical Center Administration, said of the honor, "This is another acknowledgment of the extraordinary medical care provided by our physicians and staff.". The Diabetes Center wishes to congratulate the faculty and staff of the adult and pediatric clinical diabetes faculty and staff who are well-deserving of the recognition. More kudos for UCSF Medical School In an earlier report, US News & World Report ranked the nation's graduate schools for the quality of both research and training opportunities. UCSF was the only university that ranked in the top ten in categories for both "research-based" and "primary care" medical schools .
"We are pleased to see the excellence of our medical training programs recognized, and to be distinguished for the breadth of this excellence in medical research, primary care and a range of specialties," said Haile T. Debas, Dean of the UCSF School of Medicine and Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs. "We continually strive to strengthen our ability to train the very best medical researchers and physicians." The medical school rankings are based on assessments by medical school deans and senior faculty, admission test scores of students, ratio of faculty to students, and other factors including funding from the National Institutes of Health. The rankings in health disciplines, including nursing, are based on surveys of faculty, deans and other administrators. | Related Items |
